If the license is not yet registered, a confirmation window prompt “X-PHY License not present!” will pop-up. Click on “Ok” to proceed.

Step 2: Sign up or Login

Sign up or login on the redirected page browser window to activate your license.

Step 3: Check your subscription

Go back to the X-PHY Guard App and proceed by registering an authenticator.

Note: You can see the license expiration date and check your subscription from the dashboard.

Step 2: After successful verification of Email ID, a “Verify Email OTP” window prompt will pop-up. Check your registered email address for the OTP code and type it into the field.

Step 3: Once the initial registration is completed, click “Ok” to proceed.

(Note: click Options for more selections if required *IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to leave the default options.)

Step 2: Wait for installation to complete.

Step 3: Click Launch X-PHY® PC Application to proceed.

Downloading of the application

Download and Install the X-PHY® PC Application:

Do not heat, disassemble nor dispose into fire.
The insulation materials may cause fire, heat generation, leakage or even
bursting.

Do not short Circuit
If the (+) and (-) come into contact with any metal materials, a short-
circuit might occur. As a result, fire, heat generation, leakage or bursting
may occur.

Keep batteries out of children’s reach
When storing the batteries, please keep the batteries out of children’s
reach. If a battery is swallowed, consult a physician immediately.

If the battery alkaline liquid leaked and gets into the eyes, do not rub
them, rinse your eyes with clean water and consult a physician
immediately.

If the battery alkaline liquid leaks and spills onto clothing, to protect from irritation, remove and wash them with clean water immediately.

CAUTION
• Do not use or expose the batteries to direct sunlight or in areas with
high-temperatures.
• Avoid exposing the batteries to any form of liquids.
• In case of disposal, please insulate between the (+) and (-) poles of
the battery by using an insulating material. (i.e. Natural fibers,
Polystyrene)

Dashboard displays general disk information, including number of partitions, free space, used space, product name, serial number, firmware version, and etc.

Events

The event page contains the history of events stored in the firmware of the X-PHY®SSD to serve as an audit trail. The event log table contains information such as the Serial Number, Event Info, Time Stamp, Username, MAC address and IP Address.

Configuration

The configuration page has two sections: Security features and General settings.

Security Features

It is recommended to turn on the main security features in this section to ensure that the device is totally protected.
The main security features include ransomware, cloning, temperature, physical, ambient, email alert.

Ransomware – Prevents ransomware attacks by locking down the drive.

Cloning – Prevents cloning attacks by locking down the drive.

Temperature – Prevents temperature attacks by locking down the drive.

Physical – SSD removal protection.

Ambient – CPU ambient/cabinet open protection.

Email Alert – Email notification for all events.

Wipe Data – The data on the drive will be completely erased if a physical disconnect is detected.

Important Note: Every time a Security Feature is changed, you will need to type in your password and six digit OTP code.

General Settings

Password, registered email, and authenticator can be changed from this section.

Configuration Reset – This button can be used to reset all settings. Configuration Reset is similar to a factory reset. After activating this feature, the user will be required to go through the entire registration process once again.

Rapid Purge – This button can be used to erase all data including the operating system on the drive at the physical block layer.

USE WITH CAUTION

Important Note: Every time a setting in General Settings is changed, you will need to type in your password and six digit OTP code.

Step 2: Click to update, you will see a pop up message “New Application version is available!”. Click “Yes” to update.

If “No” is clicked, the application will not be updated to the latest version.

If no new version is available or detected, a message “Application version is up to Date!” will pop-up.

• Firmware updates to the X-PHY® drive are performed through the X-PHY®  PC application.
• If there is a new firmware update available from the new installed X-PHY®  PC application version, it will automatically update (flash) the drive.
• After successfully updating (flashing) the drive, a message “Firmware update successful. Please shutdown and boot the PC to complete the update.” will pop-up on the X-PHY®  PC application.

Please shutdown completely and power on your PC to complete the firmware update. (Required)

Step 1: From the Dashboard select “Drive 1” to access the secondary X-PHY SSD.

Step 2: Key in your registered password for Drive 0 in order to access Drive 1.

Step 3: Click on the “Configuration” tab, the locked status will be shown “Disk Locked” in the configuration page  of the application. Click “Unlock Disk” button to unlock the SSD.

Step 4: The application will prompt for the password and the Authenticator OTP.

Step 5: Once authentication is verified, the SSD will be unlocked.

1. Quick Link Bar – located at top right panel provides settings such as the Theme, Contact Us, Notifications, Minimize and Close buttons.

2. Theme – changed between Dark or Light mode.

3. Contact Us – directly link to X-PHY®  Support website.

4. Notification – icon will show the application’s events & notifications.

5. Minimize – icon will hide the application into the system tray.

    Close icon will close the application’s interface.

Note: To close the application completely, go to the system tray, right click on the X-PHY application icon -> click “Exit” option.
